Frank Nuttal Joins Zamalek As Assistant Coach

Egyptian club Zamalek have confirmed that Frank Nuttal has joined their technical bench as an assistant coach.

Up until his appointment, the Scotsman was the head coach of Gor Mahia and he will now assist his compatriot and former Birmingham City and Aston Villa manager, Alex McLeish.

McLeish was appointed to the position last month.

Nuttal joins Zamalek when they are second on the Egyptian League table with 41 points from 21 matches.

Zamalek’s eternal rivals Al Ahly lead the table with 47 points.

He leaves K’Ogalo after 19 months in charge during which he won two league titles (2014 and 2015), KPL Top 8 (2015), DSTv Cup (2015) as well as led Gor Mahia to second place in the 2015 CECAFA Club Championship.

He has been facing an uncertain future at Gor Mahia despite winning the league unbeaten last season and his exit comes as no surprise.

The last few months have been punctuated with players’ unrest and departures over unpaid dues as well as fall-out between him and the management after he was informed that the club would not be in a position to double his salary as per the terms of his contract and instead his monthly take-home was reduced by half.

In January, Nuttal had been sacked from his position but was reinstated by the club’s management following pressure from fans and other key stakeholders.

His return did not have the impact that many have anticipated as Gor Mahia have failed to win any of the 6 competitive matches that they have played this season losing 3 matches and drawing thrice.

Gor Mahia’s 1-0 defeat to AFC Leopards on Sunday in a league match played at Kasarani was his last match in charge and the loss brought an end to a 35-match league unbeaten league run.

Sources close to the club claim that Gor Mahia will be looking to bring in Spaniard Antonio Flores to replace Nuttal.

Flores is the former coach of Ugandan side SC Villa.

11 Habits You Need to Stop Doing

Stop watching too much TV If you spend too much time watching TV, you are wasting your life away. I feel really strongly about this one. I don’t have cable, and while I do watch some shows on Netflix, it’s few and far between. I only watch TV after I really am relaxed and need a break. I’m also careful not to turn on the TV right when I get home. I find that if I do this, I’m sucked in. This is why I keep my reading list and focus on reading good books instead. So, start to pay attention to how much TV you’re watching. If you think it’s too much, cut back. Limit your TV intake to 30 minutes to 1 hour per day, if possible. Stop talking about people behind their backs Talking about someone behind her back is a bad idea for a number of reasons. First, if someone is talking to you behind someone else’s back, you can bet on it that they also will talk about you. Second, did you know that when you talk about someone negatively, the person who you’re talking to will associate yo...

How to Stop Porn Addiction

Don't be judgmental. The first thing you should do when trying to help other people stay away from porn is to stop being judgmental. Do not see or portray the situation in a way that makes them bad for what they do. Sexuality is very normal and human. Even most religions teach that it is not anyone’s place to judge their fellow man (but is instead the job of the Creator). It’s also bad to judge people because it tends to turn them off from what you’re trying to do. Many people that might be open to change will become defensive if you judge them and become even more set in their ways. Stay calm when you talk to them and avoid any judgmental language like “Why can’t you be more like Davis ?” or “Watching pornography will turn you into a pedophile!”. Don’t make assumptions about how they think or compare them to other people, since language like this tends to shut people down. Look for spiritual guidance. If you’re really having trouble getting your habit under control, you ...
